  • Trail description:

The impressive Dabaklamm gorge takes you to the Kalser Kalser Dorfertal (Kalser Dorfer valley), that is also the cradle of the Hohe Tauern National Park – the spectacular viewing platform in the middle of the Dabaklamm gorge is a highlight here. If you reach the valley through the gorge, voices of dairy maids, mountain farmers, mountain guides, innkeepers and other knowledgeable people from Kals will tell you about life in the valley via the so-called listening trees. These are stories that you would only hear, if you knew the narrator personally – exciting, fun, but also harrowing stories from many decades. The path also has display boards providing an insight into the nature and culture of the Dorfertal.
