Nationalpark Hohe Tauern

Innergschlöss glacier trail

Dramatic glacial striations and imposing glaciers

In the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, you can hike through one of the most beautiful valleys in the Eastern Alps. Gigantic glacial forces once shaped this landscape and to this day the glaciers still continue their work. Witness the impressive world of the glacier moraine and its pioneer vegetation.

The lakes of Salzbodensee and "Eye of God", which is usually decorated by a cotton grass island, the impressive glacial striation and the Schlaten Kees glacier are just a few highlights on this trail.
