  • Trail description:

    The trail takes you from the Seichenbrunn car park along the the river waters of the Debantbach across the Gaimberger Alm and Hofalm (both mountain pastures) to the Lienzerhütte (Lienzer hut). The hike guides visitors through an mountain pastures landscape of varying structure against a backdrop of towering mountains. Informative display boards explain about the life of lichen, the value of the moors, the bird life found in the larch and stone pine forest and the historic and ecological importance of traditional Alpine farming. For all of you wishing to look into the subject of Alpine farming more closely, there is a small museum dedicated to the subject at Hofalm.

  • From Lienz towards Nussdorf-Debant and then follow the signage for "Nationalpark Hohe Tauern – Debanttal" from the "Liebherr" area (traffic lights). Continue to Debanttal until you reach the "Seichenbrunn" car park.
