  • Trail description:

This trail starts at the Gasthof Schüttdorf (Schütthof inn) in Neukirchen. From there, you will walk along the impressive natural monument, the Untersulzbach Wasserfall (Untersulzbach waterfall) up to the national park's historic "Hochfeld" mining museum. Several information panels contain detailed descriptions including details about the geology of the Hohe Tauern and the development of mining in Untersulzbachtal (Untersulzbach valley). In the summer months, you can take part in a guided tour of the mine.

A visit to the Hochfeld mining museum can be easily combined with a walk along this geo nature trail.
