  • Description:

    Nature is full of special plants and many of them are not only beautiful to look at!

    You will be surprised how much “weeds” you can eat and what healing effect even the most inconspicuous flower has.

    You will also find out if larch pitch really brings bad luck and what bees have to do with most ointments. Last but not least, a delicious spread is prepared and tasted directly in nature from the collected wild herbs.

    Characteristics:

    You will get to know the many herbs that grow in the National Park region and their peculiarities and learn from our herbal experts how they can be processed.

    Important information:

    Mountain boots, weatherproof clothing, possibly snack and drink (no refreshments during the hike).

    Altitude meters approx. 100, kilometers approx. 3, duration approx. 4 hours.

    Easy hike, suitable for children from 8 years.

    Coming from Lienz or via the Felbertauern to the junction Matrei i. O. – towards Virgental, village square Virgen, TVB office Virgen.

    The meeting point is accessible by public transport.Postbus stop: Virgen in East Tyrol – Church.
