Climate School

The Climate School of the Hohe Tauern National Park is an innovative educational programme that aims to raise awareness of climate change mitigation and sustainability among children and children.

  • Mobile Climate School of the Hohe Tauern National Park

    The mobile climate school of the Hohe Tauern National Park pursues the overarching objective of enabling pupils to actively contribute to environmental and climate protection through interactive and experience-oriented learning. The educational programme is aimed at pupils in the 4th to 6th grade and focuses on interactive, experience-oriented learning opportunities. The aim is not only to inform the young participants about the causes and consequences of climate change, but also to enable them to actively contribute to climate and environmental protection.

    Through practical excursions, theoretical teaching modules and direct examples from the National Park, the students will: identify and understand the changes in their environment. The focus is on teaching knowledge about the local and global impacts of climate change and strengthening their capacity to implement concrete measures in their daily lives.
