New special exhibition in the National Parkhaus Matrei
CHARLY introduces his friends – the rough-footed chickens! Many unknown and often well camouflaged chickens are in the foreground: The so-called Raufußhühner are also at home in the Hohe Tauern and are often hidden creatures for most visitors. In the special exhibition in the Matrei National Park House, CHARLY, a grouse living in the Hohe Tauern, introduces his friends – the Raufußhicken. The stone chickens belong to the family of the smooth-footed chickens and, in contrast to the rough-footed chickens, have immigrated to the Alps long ago from the south. Shot? What’s “rudge” derived from? Where do the booty chickens come from? What do black-chickens actually look like and what do they eat or by whom do they like to eat them? The exhibition conveys a lot of interesting facts about the grouse and, last but not least, clarifies the question what distinguishes CHARLY as a grouse from his friends the grouse.
