After mining operations ceased, a great deal of effort was invested in converting the old mine into an exhibition for visitors. The attraction offers fascinating insights into alpine geology and the history of the national park. The show mine, a rarity in the Hohe Tauern, is made permanently accessible and explained to visitors here. For example, the overthrust construction of the Tauern Window and rock outcrops are clearly illustrated and explained.
