Trail description:
Accessible via Zillertal (Ziller valley) and the Gerlosspass (Gerlos pass) or via Mittersill to Krimml. 10 – 15 minutes of walking gets you to the car park at the lowest waterfall. From there, the waterfall trail heads uphill in hairpins to the topmost waterfall (walking time approx. 1.15 hrs) and then further in the Krimmler Achental (Krimml Achen valley). Viewing platforms provide you with spectacular views of the roaring waters of the Krimmler Wasserfälle.

Accessible in winter:
No – the waterfall trail is open from May 1st to late October
Features:
Roaring water in all variations; impressive gorge motifs; flora: 327 different species of moss, birds, wetland vegetation. If you can get to the top of the waterfall trail, then you can continue your walk into the Krimmler Achental – a high mountain valley with lush pastures and meandering rivers.
Best time to visit:
Fascinating light/water play motifs can be captured throughout the day (mornings until early afternoon in sunlight).
The waterfall has the most water from late June and in July.
Refreshment points:
Several opportunities at the foot of the waterfall and others in Krimmler Achental.
