  • Located at the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe, directly opposite Großglockner, the National Park Crystal Großglockner offers spectacular insights into the heart of Hohe Tauern National Park. The striking glass architecture of the observation tower blends seamlessly with the breathtaking panorama of the Großglockner massif and the Pasterze Glacier, creating a truly unforgettable alpine experience and providing countless opportunities for stunning photographs.

Embark on a fascinating journey through the history of Hohe Tauern National Park and discover how the idea of nature conservation around Großglockner has evolved over time. Learn about the remarkable survival strategies of Alpine ibex, chamois, marmots, rock ptarmigans and other inhabitants of the high mountains, and explore how they have adapted to one of Europe's most challenging environments.
