  • Description:

    The Hohe Tauern National Park not only protects its untouched natural landscapes but also the cultural landscapes shaped by humans over centuries. Starting from the Talwirt (1,040 m), a hiking trail leads to the Modereggalm (1,720 m). Along the themed trail, visitors will learn interesting facts about the cultural landscape of the national park.

  • Directions to Hüttschlag Talschluss Parking Lot (from Großarltal)

    1. Drive on the B165 towards Hüttschlag.
    2. Follow the road for about 10 km uphill through the Großarltal.
    3. At the end of the valley, you will reach the Talschluss Parking Lot in Hüttschlag.
    4. The parking lot is located at the end of the road and is the starting point for the themed trail to Modereggalm.

    Public Transport to Hüttschlag Talschluss Parking Lot:

    1. Take the Postbus Line 550 from Bad Hofgastein or Großarl towards Hüttschlag.
    2. Get off at the Hüttschlag Talschluss bus stop.
    3. The bus stop is located directly at the parking lot and the starting point of the Modereggalm trail.
